    The Detachable Boy

(Children's fiction, Allen and Unwin, 2008) - A mad ride with John Johnson; a normal twelve year old in every way, except when he sneezes, sometimes his head falls off.

John Johnson has a secret. Even his best friends Crystal and Ravi know nothing of his ‘special gift’ until Crystal is kidnapped by men in shiny black suits and taken to the Lost Head Diner in Arizona. Then things start to fall apart - literally.

This story contains a home-made House of Horrors, several rats, a crime boss with four arms, and plenty of mouthwash. And it’s ALL TRUE!! Well… almost all of it.

The Detachable Boy is the fastest story on two (or more) legs - a totally freaky adventure about friendship and body parts.
